Our Story: Where Tradition Meets Flavor

In the heart of Naxos Town (Chora), at the entrance of the historic Old Market, Typografio Restaurant stands as one of the island's most atmospheric spots. Just a few meters from the waterfront and the main road, there where seven picturesque alleys meet, a space that blends the aura of the Cyclades with history awaits you.

From print to plate

This building carries a unique heritage. In 1926, Antonios Champas founded his printing house here, publishing the island's first newspaper, "PHONI NAXOU-PAROU". Eight decades later, in 2004, his son Giannis meticulously renovated the stone structure, transforming it into an elegant restaurant and revitalizing the entire surrounding area.

An Experience Under the Cycladic Sky

On our multi-level terraces, guests have the opportunity to enjoy authentic traditional flavors while watching the vibrant life in the quaint alleys below the imposing silhouette of the Castle.
It is almost impossible to walk through the Old Town and not pause in front of Typografio. We invite you to take a seat and brighten your summer nights with dishes that honor our land, in an environment where history continues through hospitality.
After all, it's hard not to pass by, hard not to stop... and who knows, you might just stay for a meal and be completely captivated!
